Bradley Shende - CEO | Host of Connected Life
With 15 years of creative experience as a producer of innovative multimedia content, Bradley has an infectious passion for video and new media. Some of Bradley's accolades include 4 Telly awards for Outstanding Video Direction and Creativity, producer through six seasons of the show Dave Chalk Connected, and Director of the AMA award-winning Future Shop Digital Camera Starter Kit. He is a pioneer in media-rich computer-based and mobile content and a well-versed commentator on new media and Web 2.0. Bradley is also the host of Connected Life - Canada's most popular Web-based technology show and is BCTV's resident technology expert every Monday on the Morning News Hour.
Brian Sword - Senior Producer
With a rich history in lifestyle, how-to and feature film production, Brian ensures that our shows, corporate videos and field pieces are both engaging and succinct. Armed with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies Degree from the University Waterloo and a Diploma in Film Studies from Capilano College, he has an innate understanding of how to take ideas and make them into clear, concise messages. Prior to working at M2O, Brian was Co-Producer and 2nd Unit Director on the feature film "Crossing", released by Equinox Films in April 2007. In addition, he has worked in various roles – including Producer, Editor and Director – for James Barber and Urban Peasant Productions.
Dave Chalk - Senior Director
Dave has 25 years of experience in the technology industry. He is an entrepreneur whose goal of inspiring people through technology led him to television. The down-to-earth tech guru has used his television programs to help millions of people worldwide become more comfortable with the digital world. Rather than focusing solely on technical aspects, Dave uses fun and familiar examples of how technology can help viewers enhance their lives and productivity. Dave also takes his inspirational and enthusiastic personality to public speaking forums. He has been the spokesperson for companies such as Microsoft, HP and Sony, and is also a sought after keynote speaker.
Nigel Williamson - Video Editor & Post Production Manager
Nigel has been editing films, TV shows, commercials and documentaries for close to a decade. For five years Nigel worked as Senior Editor for MojoPartners, one of the largest advertising agencies in Australia - contributing to numerous award-winning television commercials and corporate videos. His products won accolades including a South African Golden Loerie Award, 2 Gold and 3 Silver Art Directors Awards and a Silver New York ANDY Award. With a degree in Screen Production and Film/Media Studies, a scholarship diploma in 2D Special Effects and Compositing from the internationally acclaimed Silicone Studios and a certificate in Video Production & Photography from the Balmoral Design and Technology Center in Australia, Nigel is our secret weapon – turning raw tape into unique and captivating end products.
Paul Breau - Producer | Head Writer
Paul has a degree in English Literature from the University of British Columbia, studied Technical Writing at SFU and also completed the UBC Multimedia and Design Program. Paul has been writing corporate video, commercials, stand-up comedy, screenplays, and short stories for as long as he can remember. In the past, Paul was a touring Yuk Yuk’s stand-up comic and has performed on stages across Canada, the
Jack Kao - Technical Producer
Jack has a love for all things tech + video. If there is a gadget on the planet he has taken it apart and put it back together - while filming the whole process. Jack graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. He specialized in video production and new media studies and could even tell you what Media 2.0 means. Jack was the co-producer for Simon Fraser’s online Latin American Museum Collection, as well as being an assistant to SFU’s Media and Child Development Research Program. Currently he's involved with SFU's School of Interactive Arts and Technology, creating visual mosaics for the Aqua Lingua project. Jack has played or owned more cameras, computers, and video game consoles than any one should be allowed to. He is also a founding member of EnergyStudio Productions and has produced several commercials.
Tris Hussey -- New Media Specialist
Long-time blogger and social media expert, Tris got his start in tech running laboratories and doing tech support. After years of launching websites for the pharmaceutical industry, Tris jumped into blogging on a whim and hasn't stopped yet. One of Canada's first professional bloggers and recognized as a leading expert in both social media and business blogging, Tris continues to charge ahead pushing the edges of social media with whatever new technology catches his eye. Tris is sought after as a guest blogger on leading blogs including ZDNet and is writing an introduction to blogging book due out in mid-2009.
